Atlanta Riichi Club is hosting in-person local Riichi Mahjong Tournament
Open registration for all, up to 24 participants.
Tournament Date: June 21st, 2025
Time: 12:00pm ~ 8:00pm ET
Location: John's Creek (specific address disclosed in the discord tournament channel)
Tournament Format: 4-hanchan round robin cumulative score. Followed by top cut of highest 4 scores to play the finals match.
Rules: 2025 WRC Ruleset, with penalties set to "optional lower penalties"
Registration: Signups are free for Atlanta Riichi Club annual members. 15$ for nonmembers. Reach us at contact@atlantariichi.com, or our discord and message Jason to process your fee. You do not have to be an Atlanta resident to participate. Registration closes after June 18th.

Are the rules completely WRC?
Yes: no aka dora, uma +15/+5/-5/-15 no oka, headbump, no bankruptcy, kiriage mangan etc.
As a non-annual member, can I pay in cash at the door?
Yes, but you still must register through the google form by the June 18th.
How do I know my registration has been received?
Your name will be shown on the website and you see the 2025 Perimeter Playoffs discord channel within the Atlanta Riichi Club Server.
Where will the tournament be held?
The tournament will be held at a member’s residence in Alpharetta, near John’s Creek H-Mart. There will be an announcement in the tournament discord channel and you will receive a message through the contact method you provided in your registration.
Will there be auto tables?
The 4 round scramble will be hand shuffle. The finals match will be on autotable.
How long is each hanchan?
The bell will ring at 70 minutes into each round, signaling to complete current hand and to play one more.
What happens is a ruling is disputed?
The final ruling will be decided by the head judge.
